Digital photography is one of the main image source in new media. Everyone uses digital photography on computers with no loss of quality; no more darkrooms and all the traditional processes.

The creativity and technology in photography increased.kodak, the most famous brand name in photography now stopped producing films and followed this new technology and moved all their business into digital. Now the printing, the editing and the manipulation of images no longer take time, it can be done immediatly with high-resolution digital cameras. It changed the way in which all photographers work.

Today, new media has won the day. It made it easier and more functionnal for us to produce books magazines, logos, posters,DVDs… with the use of the computer.

For example, digital informations can be stored as numbers and copying it will be identical to the original with no loss of quality , in contrary to old-media which each copy is recreated again.

As Fred Deakin said: “The advent of new media is a double-edged sword for the graphic designers…these new tools expanded the range of skills that we now need in order to achieve excellence”. So excellence is the best word that describes new-media and therefor that’s what we all need to have in our designs.

I took the right/left-brain test and it says that i am a moderate right-brain. I think it’s accurate because i can’t imagine myself beeing placed in a category of left-brain, in a category where the person is aware of time,details,order ; or responsible of verbal expressive strength ; or reading and writting ; and respect for rules and deadlines. im way too far from those. As a right brain person, i understands the whole picture so it really effect and influence my designs.

I’ve always experienced flow, mostly in every work or design I do. I consider it difficult at first and then i realize that it is not beyond my reach.

“Dynamic” is a word describing an activity full of energy adn new ideas. Even if new-media is described by dynamic, priont media can still take on its dynamism ot its new ideas. As a small example, print can be done digita  now with the use of computers.

In this world of techonology,eventhough music videos, computer games and websites known as new-medias has won the day i find that poster designs corporate indentity design adn advertisements are more interesting and nowaday the options have been vastly extended using the computer.
